PROJECTSIntroduction [Biosketch]
- Dr. Praveen Kumar Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam, India. Prior to joining NIT Silchar, he served as an Assistant Professor at Banasthali University, Rajasthan. He completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Mathematics) from D.V. College, Orai (Bundelkhand University, Jhansi), Uttar Pradesh, and earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi in 2011. During his doctoral studies, he was a recipient of the MHRD IIT-BHU Scholarship and the CSIR–Senior Research Fellowship (SRF), and was awarded the First Prize for Publication Scholarship (2011) at IIT (BHU).
- His research interests include Mathematical Modelling, Fractional Calculus, and Dynamical Systems. Dr. Gupta has successfully supervised 5 Ph.D. scholars, 4 M.Phil. students, and 25 postgraduate students. So far, he has published 03 Text book/Edited books and more than 70 research articles, including 56 articles in reputed international journals and 14 articles as book chapter publications. The number of Citations of these articles is more than one thousand nine hundred (1900+). I have been featured among the WORLD'S TOP 2% SCIENTISTS in a world database created by Stanford University, California, USA, in the years 2021 and 2022.
- Dr. Gupta has chaired technical sessions and delivered invited lectures at several national and international conferences, workshops, and STTPs, including events held in Malaysia and Thailand, as well as at premier institutions such as NIT Bhopal, NIT Silchar, IIIT Naya Raipur, DIT Dehradun, Assam University Silchar, and Banasthali University.
